Meyers Lake is a village in Stark County in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 565 at the 2000 census.
GeographyMeyers Lake is located at (40.816213, -81.414416)[3]. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.1 km²), of which, 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²) of it (48.84%) is water. DemographicsAs of the census[2] of 2000, there were 565 people, 308 households, and 169 families residing in the village. The population density was 2,548.4 people per square mile (991.6/km²). There were 344 housing units at an average density of 1,551.6/sq mi (603.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.64% White, 2.30% African American, 0.18% Asian, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.59% of the population. There were 308 households out of which 9.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.4% were married couples living together, 5.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.1% were non-families. 39.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.80 and the average family size was 2.30. In the village the population was spread out with 8.3% under the age of 18, 4.1% from 18 to 24, 23.7% from 25 to 44, 37.5% from 45 to 64, and 26.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 53 years. For every 100 females there were 78.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.9 males. The median income for a household in the village was $48,942, and the median income for a family was $57,917. Males had a median income of $46,750 versus $28,295 for females. The per capita income for the village was $35,836. About 4.0% of families and 6.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.0% of those under age 18 and 10.2% of those age 65 or over. References
