| Bruneau is a tiny, remote unincorporated town in Owyhee County in the southwestern part of the U.S. state ofIdaho. It is populated mainly by ranchers. Among the businesses are one bar, a cafe, a library and a gas station. There was a general store, "The Valley Merc", owned by Women's Rodeo legend Jan Youren, but it closed in the fall of 2005. Schiermeier Farms are located in this area, along with many other farming businesses. Bruneau also holds a rodeo every year. External links
