Choosing the best local daycare can be tricky. Tables and Chairs Your local daycare should be sure to have tables, chairs, and other furniture that is the proper height for the age of the child it will be serving. Like other areas of safety, slippery floors can be avoided. The flooring that is safest for your child is carpeting, but not all daycares are fully carpeted. If your local daycare is fully carpeted, rest assured that they have done everything they can to ensure that make the entire building has kid-friendly flooring. But not all daycares are completely carpeted. For whatever reason your local daycare may have hardwood, laminate, or tile flooring. If that is the case, be sure to notice whether or not there are area rugs being used. For the safety of your child there need to be rugs, and those areas rugs must have a good non-slip backing. Without the non-slip backing the areas rugs are actually more dangerous than uncovered non-carpeted flooring. Safety is especially something to be observant of when choosing a daycare as it will help give you a peace of mind once you make your final decision.
